The Dr. Richard Izquierdo Health and Science Charter School National Honor Society Chapter strives to create in our students an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership, and to encourage the development of character. 

Members of the National Honor Society have collected winter clothing and accessories to distribute to the residents of our Bronx Community. They have collected toys to distribute to elementary school children and parents in our neighborhood and Children’s Aid Society. We volunteered at the Food Bank for New York City and helped pack hundreds of meals for senior citizens. We have collaborated with the American Red Cross to donate blood to those in need. In January 2023, selected members attended Bronx Charter School Celebration Day in Albany to advocate for charter schools. We have a truly amazing group of National Honor Society members who work so hard to be the best exemplaries of our school.
